DOING GOOD.

It all started when…

…we watched a “60 MINUTES” TV news expose one evening in June 2018. What we saw, with the sheep on the live export ship, literally melting alive with body temperatures in the mid 50 degrees centigrade, as they endured horrific conditions aboard a boiling hot ship, without adequate food and water, made us sick. We vowed that night never again to exploit another animal, and so we stopped eating them. Soon after that, as we were now “fully conscious” and prepared to look where we turned away before, we saw, all around us, the suffering that we have placed, often unconsciously, upon the other animal species of the world. And so, through a rapid process of learning and reaching out to those who knew, we became animal advocates. So if you don’t see us at a home open, or showing a property, you might find us advocating on a street corner or speaking out wherever we can find the time, to be their voice, for the voiceless. Please feel free to open this topic for conversation with us. Province Property team are powered by plants, for the animals, for the environment and for our own health.

Cat Haven

As Real Estate Agents, we find homes for people. But it doesn’t stop there. The world is a complicated place, and while we help our human friends to find a home, we also recognise that many animals, being our non-human friends, find themselves homeless. So we’ve been sponsoring one of the pens at Cat Haven for the past two years, and we therefore contribute to providing a home for the homeless cats that pass through this amazingly kind centre. We would love to see more real estate agents do the same, after all, that’s what we all love to do.

ANIMALS AUSTRALIA

Animals Australia are an incredible organisation. Through their founder Lyn White, this organisation has become a national powerhouse in advocating for animal welfare and animal rights, extending far beyond the “usual suspects” of cats and dogs, to all animals whether they be animals used for food, entertainment, experimentation or clothing. We regularly donate to this worthwhile organisation, as well as to the RSPCA and other animal welfare organisations. The world is changing rapidly, as the message of compassion and equality spreads around the globe and more and more people realise that animals are here on earth with us and not for us. We believe that one day, all humans on earth will automatically recognise and treat all our fellow animal brothers and sisters as equal citizens of our beautiful blue planet and we advocate whenever we have spare time, to help this wonderful process to take shape.

Animal Kindness Centre

We created the Animal Kindness Centre to provide support, educational and counselling services to people in the community who are concerned about the liberation, welfare and ethical treatment of animals. It was created to help to fill a need that is under-serviced in the community landscape and hopes to strengthen the bonds and knowledge of members of the public who are impacted or influenced by the plight of animal liberation, welfare and exploitation issues in society.
Inherent in knowledge of and actions needed concerning animal rights issues, are also the other broader topics of environment, health and food choices.
The centre hopes to work with individuals, groups both political and non-political and communities who are like minded and to bring awareness of animal ethical, liberation and welfare issues to the attention of members of the community who are either concerned or unaware about the extent of issues of concern both locally and abroad. The centre also hopes to educate people in these other key areas which are impacted on and by Animal Rights issues; Global Warming, Human Health/Disease and transition to Plant Based Diet options and Agriculture are all vital considerations that are tied together with Animal Rights issues.

We’ve created the Animal Justice Team to provide the animal advocacy community with a tangible group to belong to and to associate with.

Everyone in the advocacy community is invited and welcome to become a part of the “Team” and we are so very excited to be able to provide this home and coordinating role for everyone.

We hope to grow our Team and duplicate with other teams throughout the country and the world. Working together with other animal advocacy groups we will fill a space in the animal advocacy community landscape.
