Founded on the banks of the Swan River in 1829, there are few cities in the world that can match the beauty as well as the climate of Perth. Many fine stores and boutiques may also be found in the traffic free shopping district of the city which is located close to the Perth Railway Station. The West Australian Art Gallery, Museum and Alexander Library are all located on the opposite side of the Perth Railway Station with traffic free zones providing pedestrian access as well as a calming courtyard with fountains for a quiet moment if desired.
